BIOGRAPHY OF ATTORNEY THEODORE CUMMINGS

Ted Cummings is a long practiced attorney of both patent and trademark law. He has practiced intellectual property law for over twenty-eight years beginning at The Procter & Gamble Company for many years, continuing at General Electric Aircraft Engines and finally through his own private practice for many years. 

 

Ted has particularly enjoyed his work with small start-up companies and new inventors. He works often to enable new businesses to protect their intellectual property and successfully enter the marketplace. Ted understands entrepreneurs, their values and what drives them. As a fellow entrepreneur, he enjoys the ‘all hands on deck’ mindset and work effort that creating a successful new business requires. 

 

Ted is a graduate of the illustrious Howard University where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He likewise earned his law degree in 2001. Ted and his wife Traci are the proud parents of three well-adjusted adult children who bring them constant joy and new experiences. They are also the grandparents of two precocious, intelligent young children who give them hope for the future. When not practicing law, you can find Ted writing science fiction novels or practicing Muay Thai, the Art of the Eight Limbs.
